BEYOND THE BODY

The body, in its' purest form, takes up space whether it is in the physical realm or virtual one. The body, consisting of a brain, a heart, muscles, bones, molecules, and atoms, is so much more than an object moving throughout space. It is a living creature that science chooses to study, the media chooses to exploit, and the human chooses to manipulate. 

 

Welcome to my body. 

 

My brain consists of writing pieces that I have taken interest in throughout my four years of my academic college careers. These pieces of writings typically surround the discussion of the way the media and society interprets bodies, specifically female bodies, among others. 

 

My heart consists of creative multimedia pieces that I am truly passionate about. 

 

My body consists of my final capstone project. Throughout my time at the University, I have explored issues regarding female bodies across varying academic disciples. This time, I am expressing my experience with my own body with a poem accompanied by a video.
